The
second concert of the seven cats music series will take place on
Saturday, June 4, 2011, 4p at the lilypad in Cambridge, MA. Five pieces
covering a variety of instrumental forces and aesthetics will be
presented. Jeremy Van Buskirk's Aurora and Meditations are both
introspective explorations of sound - one acoustic the other
electroacoustic. Hubert Ho's Tremble was inspired by both the music of
Poulenc and California earthqu...akes.
Chao-Jan Chang's Virtuosity no. 2, hot off the press, is receiving its
world premiere, and Richard Dudas' complete Sonata for clarinet and
piano is receiving its American premiere as a complete three-movement
work.
